About the Author

D’Ann is a licensed Real Estate Broker in The District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland.  She has been in the real estate business since 2002, and has a background in new construction with one of the nation’s largest production home builders.  In the summer of 2008, she was very proud to start her own real estate brokerage, New Home Solutions LLC.  Partnering with Brian Schroeder, one of her colleagues from the new home sales business, she opened her first office in August of 2008 in Herndon, Virginia.  She is excited about using her years of expertise in this new arena and better serving her clients.  D’Ann is a member of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors & the Greater Capitol Area Association of Realtors and continuously educates herself on the changing market and trends in DC Metro area real estate.  She is a member of the NVAR Community Outreach committee and the Arbitration Committee.  In addition, in 2007, D’Ann earned her Residential Construction Certification and New Home Specialist Certification.  In 2008, D’Ann earned her designation as an Accredited Buyer Representive.

D’Ann is also very involved in her community, acting in 2006-2008 as the Director of Special Events for the DC Texas Exes, Washington DC’s alumni organization for the University of Texas at Austin.  In this position, she planned the annual scholarship fundraiser and other social events for the chapter.  She is serving as President-Elect for the 2009-2010 year.  She is also a member of the Texas State Society and the Junior League of Northern Virginia, where she has served as the Events Planning Chair and is currently heading up contributions for the League’s winter fundraiser, The Enchanted Forest, held each year in November. 

In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking, wakeboarding, boating, snowboarding, photography, traveling and spending time with her adopted puppy, Halea.  D’Ann is a native Texan and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communications – Hook ‘Em Horns! 

D’Ann places a high regard on customer service and personal attention to her clients, whether first-time buyers or seasoned real estate investors.   D’Ann’s primary area of service is Northern Virginia, including Arlington County, Alexandria City, Fairfax County and Loudoun County.  D’Ann also serves the District of Columbia, including Georgetown, Dupont Circle, U Street/Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan, Logan/Shaw, Capitol Hill and Chevy Chase. In Maryland, D’Ann works primarily in Montogomery & Prince Georges Counties.  She also assists clients with investment opportunities and vacation homes in Texas, Louisiana and Colorado.  D’Ann owns two rental properties in the Austin Texas area.
